NOBODY LIKES A BASHFUL BASHO

We'll try not to be too "form" specific here, HOWEVER, certain forms are tailor-made for micro poetry. So, right out of the box, we offer homage to the man recognized as the master of one such form. Of course I speak of Matsuo Bashō and the Haiku.

 Bashō admitted that anyone could write equally impressive verse in haiku, but his true art came in participating in renku (linked Haiku verses).

He was inspired by the natural beauty of his native Japan. So, I offer several photos (specifically of Mt. Fujiyama) for your perusal and poetry,  Bashō style.

     Silent pagoda

     sentinel of great mountain

     cherry blossoms grow

Majestic beauty
mirrored mountain reflected
avian splendor

Wings raised in honor
homage to the mountain god
nature's spirit shared

                                 WRITE HAIKU!
